March Madness 2019

Hey Everyone,

Thought I’d quickly touch base. So this is kind of a no-frills post, but I’m getting a lot of shit stuff done around here and I’m making progress but I also wanted to get this out. Soooo…. here it is. Anyway, it’s been exactly one month ago since I last posted and my daughter Lauren showed me this animated short that I fell in love with and, of course, I wanted to share it with y’all immediately (y’all may already know about it, though) — so, yeah, I’m breaking my own “I’m-not-going-to-post-until-June-1” rule.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having the kind of March they’ve been wanting to have and I hope you get a chance to check out KitBull below if you haven’t already! Ah, hell, do it again even if you have seen it before — you know you want to! I love, love, love this and hope you do, too! If you cry easily (like my daughter), you might want to have a tissue or two close by.

Anyway, if I come across something else that can’t wait until June, I’ll let y’all know! Otherwise, just know that I’m thinking about all of you on a daily basis and I hope you like KitBull as much as I do and…now I have to get back to work! I miss you all! Let me know what you think.

OKAY, SO MY FRIENDS, KIM AND SUZANNE (SEE THE COMMENTS BELOW), BOTH TRIED TO WATCH THIS SHORT AND BOTH DESCRIBED IT AS “TOO MUCH!” SO IF YOU ARE A SENSITIVE SOUL, BE AWARE THAT THERE IS INTENSE EMOTIONAL CONTENT IN KITBULL, INCLUDING SUGGESTIONS/ PORTRAYAL OF ANIMAL ABUSE. THIS IS A SHORT ABOUT OVERCOMING ADVERSITY, HOWEVER; SO IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH THAT PART (IT DOESN’T LAST TOO LONG), THIS STORY DOES HAVE A REALLY WONDERFUL ENDING! ALSO, REMEMBER — THIS IS AN ANIMATED FILM — SO REAL ANIMALS WERE NOT HURT DURING THE MAKING OF THIS! AGAIN, I THINK THIS IS A WONDERFUL STORY WITH A GREAT ENDING, WHICH IS WHY I’M SHARING IT! ~ M

  1. I CAN’T… I can’t even get through this. I’m already crying! I can’t watch Dumbo, Bambi, or All Dogs Go to Heaven. I more of a Dexter kind of gal. Mona! You need a warning on that short. 😢 Good to here you are getting stuff done cause I’m not. Can you be at my house by 8AM tomorrow??? I need a lot of shit done! 😉 ~k.

    • Oh, Kim,
I’m so sorry! It is rough through much of it, but it has such a wonderful ending. A great big hug to you, Mona

  2. I got partway through and it was too much—I’ll have to try again when I’m not so emotional lol. Glad you’re popping back in even for a little while:-)

    • Hey Suzanne,
Maybe this short was too intense. Hmm. I loved it though. You know what it made me think of? I think of it as a metaphor for the outsiders of the world who are scared and often broken and yes, sometimes abused, who find one another and break free and eventually find happiness! Everyone deserves happiness and friends! Anyway, I apologize for not providing a good enough warning. I will go back and do that now! It’s good to hear from you. Hugs to you, my friend! Mona

    • Hey Pip,
Perfect timing for hearing from you, my friend. I’ve had a trying weekend, but have survived it. Is it my imagination or does April seem to bring out the crazy in people? Other than that, I’m continuing to work toward goals that I had put off until this spring. Can you say TEDIUM? How’s it going with you? Did you and your family have a nice Easter? 🙂
