Corn Dog vs. Corny Dog Survey

Okay, y’all! In order to write my future post, I need all of your help — yes, even people that normally don’t comment, I’d love your feedback here, if it’s not too much trouble. If you don’t want to, that’s fine too! I just think that the more people respond, the better this is going to get. That’s all. Also, I suppose I could go to Survey Monkey with my question — I’ve never used them before and I don’t know the first thing about doing that but all depending on the response here — I might look into that. So here is the one question I have — and this is important, y’all —

DO YOU CALL THAT LOVELY BATTERED WIENER THAT IS DEEP FRIED AND A STAPLE AT ALL STATE FAIRS AND CARNIVALS AND SOME FAST FOOD JOINTS A CORNY DOG OR A CORN DOG? IF YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE MY DAY, TELL ME WHY YOU CALL IT ONE THING OVER THE OTHER! Okay, that’s it!

The polls are now open. Please respond in the comment section below!

Thanks, bunches, y’all!

  1. I call them corn dogs. So does JoJo. I can’t speak for the missus–but I think it’s more likely to be called “corny dog” in Texas since that’s what they were called at the Texas State Fair back in the day. But I’m not from Texas, so…also, they resemble an ear of corn, so CORN dog. Additionally, I feel like I’m 3 years old if I say “CORNY dog”.

  2. Corn dog. I’ve never even heard the term “corny dog” before. They’ve always just been corn dogs. I have PMS hormones coursing through my veins so honestly knowing there are people who call them “corny dogs” alarms me a little bit??? I should probably take a nap.

Also, now I definitely want a corn dog.

  3. Corn dog ….. Corny dog …..hot dog with corn meal batter fried around it ….frankfurter dipped in cornmeal batter!!!!!! Who Cares!!!!! Why don’t you write about something really stupid 🙄🙄🙄😍

  4. Anita,
Very cool. If you’d like, I’d love to hear what those interesting points are. You can put them in the comment section if you’d like to contribute this this dialogue. 🙂

  5. Katie, Yay! Please come on over to side “Corny Dog.” I adore you just for saying that! Just don’t expect to get any love from those who don’t. However, at the end of September through most of October, Fletcher’s Corny Dogs at the Texas State Fair in Dallas, Texas, will be in full swing. So if you can make it, come by and we’ll go eat corny dogs at the State Fair. And drink beer. And see all the exhibits and watch the pig races, and go to the petting zoo and eat everything fried and guaranteed to be bad for you and it will be a blast! If you want to ride rides, I’ll stand on the ground and take pictures of you! We’ll do that before we eat corny dogs to be on the safe side!
