Thursday • If you were to ask my mother, she’d tell you that if you mess with one of her family, bad things will befall you. She knows with every ounce in her being that the Lord will make things seven times worse for you than whatever it was that you did to one of us.
Tuesday ♦ If you were alive and aware on this day in 2001, you know exactly what you were doing − that’s how our minds work. We remember where we were − our space in time in a larger space in time − whenever we live through life-altering events. When John F. Kennedy was shot, it was the same thing. People who were old enough to understand what happened, also remember where they were whenever they recall that moment. I wasn’t alive then.
On September 11, 2001, my day was spent mostly staring at the television in shock. But even before the event, I remember going to the grocery store super early around 5:00 a.m. and getting groceries and buying fresh flowers. I remember getting the kids off to school on what I thought was a perfectly normal morning. It was going to be a busy day and I wanted to get ahead of it before
Monday • Yikes! Here is my first attempt at blogging. I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, but here I go. Actually, I’m blogging but not blogging right now. What I mean is that I don’t actually have a blog set up. I don’t know how to set up a blog.
I know there are a bunch of sites that will help me figure this out, if I had the time and patience and it didn’t cause my eyes to glaze over. If you are reading this, though, we’ll assume I’ve been successful. The question I have right now — not your right now — my September 10, 2012, right now — is from which site to choose. Decisions, decisions. All I know is that I want a site with all the bells and whistles so that I can write stories and add beautiful pictures or funny pictures or funny quotes or video or I can link it to another website. I wonder how expensive that is? I guess I’ll have to come up with the pictures on my own. I’m not very good at taking pictures. Or downloading or uploading either. All of that may have to come later — like when I have an actual blog site instead of just pretending that I’m blogging on a Microsoft Word file.
